At your next portfolio checkup, here are 5 things that we recommend you get into the habit of reviewing. First and foremost you should address any changes to your needs and goals. As with any good plan, it is important to understand what, where, and when you are trying to get. If your goals have changed, you may need to reevaluate your current portfolio. It is a good idea to ensure that your beneficiaries are in place and that you keep them current with your wishes. Although, we cannot control the markets or how your investments rise and fall, it is important to review your progress towards reaching your goals. Reviewing your performance may lead you to recognize the need to change investments, contribute additional dollars, modify your risk tolerance, etc. You should review your individual assets, overall asset allocation and risk tolerance to ensure that time and market conditions have not caused your portfolio to fall outside of your comfort level.
